Kerry Warner's work is juxtaposition between spontaneous washes and controlled methodical impasto areas creating a history within each piece. It is a deconstruction of painting as a language, becoming enhanced each time she adds a new colour or mark to the canvas.
"The language is informed by my experience of certain techniques coupled with my inherent need to explore new approaches and form new colours. It is a language spoken through the essence of the paint. The deconstruction of this language has become my historical dialect yet remains accessible to all."
