Elissa Cristall opened her gallery in 1999 in Vancouver’s South Granville art and design district. For the past nine years, she has been presenting a surprising mix of fresh exhibitions of promising young talent and critically recognized artists.
Three criteria that she looks for in a work of art are: emotionality, sustainability and innovation. The first of these is subjective and the second is unpredictable. But the third, innovation, is the key: to look for those works that have art historical relevance and provide something that has not been done before.
The Elissa Cristall Gallery strives to inspire visitors with stimulating exhibitions and to offer a forum where collectors can discover emerging talent and distinctive works of art. |
